Phone Heat Map

See where your phone gets hot — and why it is burning power.

Phone Heat Map is a prototype tracker for real device heat and power draw. It maps when and where the phone warms up, ties heat to what was running, and helps you see why the battery is disappearing — not a UI tap heatmap, a thermal and power story of the hardware in your hand.

What the prototype shows

Heat and power as a story — not a mystery drain.

  • Thermal timelineWhen the phone got warm or hot across the day — peaks you can actually point at.
  • Power “why” breakdownRough shares for display, radios, CPU/GPU, background work — so “battery died” has causes.
  • Heat tied to activityLink warm windows to charging, camera, navigation, games, or a runaway app.
  • Simple heat map of the deviceWhich regions of the phone tend to warm (prototype sensing — not a medical instrument).

Who it is for

Builders and curious owners who want the physical phone’s story.

  • Prototype firstEarly DelQuro Labs experiment — expect sharp edges, honest limits, and fast iteration.
  • Not a UI analytics toolThis is not about where thumbs tap on screens. It is about heat and energy in the hardware.
  • Debug the “why is it hot?” feelingThat warm upper corner during a call or game gets a timestamp and a cause list.
  • Power habits, not shameSee patterns. Change a setting. Recheck. No public leaderboard for battery anxiety.
Why this prototype

Hot phones waste power. Guessing wastes time.

Everyone feels a warm phone. Almost nobody gets a clear picture of when it heated up and what was eating the battery. Phone Heat Map is that picture — in prototype form.

01 / Visibility

Heat you can graph

Peaks and calm stretches instead of a vague “it was warm earlier.”

02 / Cause

Power with reasons

Display, radio, compute, background — ranked enough to act on.

03 / Prototype honesty

Built to learn

Shipping the question first: can we make device heat and drain understandable?
